The Elders and Deacons Training was held from 8-9 July 2008, in New Life Restoration Centre, Petaling Jaya.
About 85 people attended the training, which comprised of pastors, cell leaders,church workers and ordinary members serving in church. Some came from as far as from Perak, Johor and Sabah to attend the training.

The teachers were Rev Eu Hong Seng, Rev Gabriel Jebanathan, Rev Ron Hee, Rev Simon Chandran, Rev Voon Yuen Woh and Rev Neal Patterson, our guest speaker from New Zealand.

The teachers took the participants on a well-structured and comprehensive study of the role of Elders/Deacons in the church, the biblical principles of governing a church and the responsibilities of the congregation to Elders, Deacons and Pastors.

A workshop session was also held to practice application of the principles learnt.

Those who attended were really blessed as were the churches, as God would continue to raise more deacons and elders who are the backbone of the church.
