17 July 2007 Meeting with Kindah Greening

Report of ECCMsia Conference held on 17th July 2007

2007_0717-ECCM-CFS-0344 Pastor Kindah Greening who was the guess speaker gave an inspiring message on the “CAN DO PEOPLE”. Below is the outline with some extracts from his message:

The Bible is essentially divided into two scenarios, giving us an historical and a futuristic outlook. We see CAN DO and CAN’T DO people…Historically we see God dealing with man for the purpose of creating a CAN DO nation. He is continually looking for a people, a nation and a generation who will say YES - WE CAN DO. The historical accounts of the Bible show us two things regarding our response to God and life: CAN DO versus CAN’T DO.

Some good examples of the “CAN DO PEOPLE” in the Bible are: The woman with the issue of blood, Simon Peter in Luke 5, the frequently told story of Joshua and Caleb in Numbers 13 & 14 and the New Testament account of King David’s life in Acts 13: 22. Here David is called “a man of my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.”

The SEVEN Indications of a CAN-DO Culture:

Those who can and build would have:

1. Goal/Vision

2. Strategy

3. Generosity/Double Win

4. Innovation

5. Adaptability/Flexibility

6. Perseverance

7. Faith

God has given us a CAN-DO attitude:

1. Yes, I Can Believe (Mark 9:24; Heb 11:6)

2. Yes, I Can Change (2 Corinthians 5:17)

3. Yes, I Can Love and Be Loved (John 13:34; Romans 5:5)

4. Yes, I Can Forgive and Be Forgiven (Ephesians 4:32; 1 John 2:12)

5. Yes, I Can Rule My Thought Life (2 Corinthians 10:2-5; Philippians 4:7-8)

6. Yes, I Can Make a Difference (Esther 4:14; Acts 13:36)

7. Yes, I Can Accomplish Great Things (John 14:12)

8. Yes, I Can Stand in the Midst of Adverse Circumstances (2 Samuel 23:11)

9. Yes, I Can Defeat the Enemy (1 John 4:4; Romans 8:37)

10. Yes, I Can Be a Finisher (2 Timothy 4:6-7)
